In summer, the heat is on in Haute-Savoie and the beautiful beaches of Lake Geneva are a blessing. Fortunately, the crystal-clear waters and numerous beaches of the largest lake in Europe are an excellent way to cool off! With over 180 km of shores, you have a wide choice of freshwater swimming spots.

Here is our selection of the most beautiful beaches on Lake Geneva, and a little tip: don’t forget your sunscreen! 😀

Messery Beach

The closest beach to the campsite, Messery Beach is very pleasant with its gentle grassy slope and beautiful view of the village of Nyon in Switzerland.

💛: Perfect for a refreshing wake-up or a beautiful summer evening with a picnic basket!
ℹ️: Dogs not allowed, and swimming is unsupervised.
📌: 20 minutes on foot from the campsite

Excenevex Beach

Ah, the grains of sand between your toes… it’s like being at the seaside! Excenevex beach is the only sandy beach on the shores of Lake Geneva.

A paradise for little ones who will be delighted to bring out shovels and buckets to build the most beautiful sandcastle!

💛: Paddle and pedal boat rentals, and many water activities available!

Rovorée Domain – La Châtaigneraie in Yvoire

The perfect place to cool off! This 24-hectare domain boasts majestic century-old chestnut trees and vast meadows. Two small beaches are located at its two ends, and the view of Lake Geneva is magnificent.

💛: Medieval ruins in the domain and a majestic forest
ℹ️: Beaches accessible by a bike path from Yvoire. No dogs allowed for swimming.
📌: 10 minutes by car
